Green Stain Icon Tutorial Intro

There are many different icon effects to apply to your icon, and this one will show you how to apply a green colour to your icon.

Green Stain Icon Tutorial

1. Have your icon base ready. If you want, grab one from here. I will be using:

2. Duplicate the layer with Ctrl + J. If your image is a little blurry or fuzzy, sharpen it a bit with Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen. On the second duplicated layer (make sure it's on top), apply Gaussian Blur with Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Set the radius to 2.0 pixels. Set the blurred layer to Overlay.

3. Apply a gradient of #93D874 and #010101. Drag it from the bottom left corner to the top right corner, or however you want. Set the blend mode to Screen.

4. Finished!
